So many things inspired the Ladies Garden Journal series, from my Grandmother's flower gardens to early 20th century periodicals, but I have always had a soft spot for Edwardian gardening journals. Every time I would see one, I would think, "How can I turn that into cross stitch?" Here is your answer! We have come to the close of our garden visit and our final visit is with Mari Gold. She is such a workhorse of the garden, protecting other plants and blooming for all she is worth. I think marigolds are like snowflakes, no two are alike, colors and patterns always different, always make you smile, just like the butterflies flitting in for a visit.
