Sarah Jane Grant 1845 ~ Deconstructed
Antique samplers are like friends. Perhaps one reason that they are so enduring, is the connection that we feel with their stitchers as we look at them, stitch them, study them. I know Sarah Jane Grant would have been a kindred spirit. She obviously loved the natural world as she included birds, insects and even little dogs on her sampler. I let her inspire me to create three new projects, a smaller sampler, a double-sided pinkeep and a darner. Sweet projects to make for a friend or for yourself! Ask your favorite shop for the finishing kit to complete the extra projects.
Stitch Count: Sampler: 111 x 74. Stitched on 32ct. Pear linen from Lakeside Linens with silk floss from Gloriana.
